The Lord's Covenant People
Covenants are promises. When we are baptized we promise our Savior to take his name upon us. This means that we promise to represent Christ. We renew this covenant each week when we take the sacrament.
The fulness of the gospel is called the new and everlasting covenant. It is the same covenant given to prophets of old. It will never change. We accept this covenant and we promise to repent and be baptized and then receive the Holy ghost. As we continue to grow and learn we take on more covenants with Heavenly Father. As we keep these covenants Heavenly Father promises exaltation in the celestial kingdom.
Think about our covenants with Heavenly Father every time we get dressed, are we dressing to please Him? Every time we do something, would He be proud of me? Every time we speak, are we speaking honorably, the way Christ would? Do we represent Him in all we do???
