Take the Time

I find that I lose all track of time when I am researching information on my ancestors. I love to read about the places they lived and try to pictures what their lives might have been like. I have started taking notes on what the town was like close to the time my Mother's family lived in the different places in Scotland and have added those notes to my PAF file. It is fun to read about what the houses were like and how the town grew. I will do this for all the rest of the sides also but I am still on my Mom's side right now.
I love the scriptures that talk about turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and vice versa. I really do feel like I love them more and more each time I find out more information about them. We need to learn as much as we can while we are here on this earth and I have decided that reading more about where my ancestors came from is a clue as to who they were and is an important thing to do. I have heard so many people say they do not have time for genealogy. I have decided to give up 30 minutes a day to make the time to find out something new. It might be 30 minutes of sleep I am giving up but most of the time it is 30 minutes of wasted time that I will not miss. I have to plan my time more effectively to get this done but if we all did that then we would be more ready for Christ to return. You have to take the time.
